Joe Flores

Joe Flores*, CAIA®
Regional Vice President – North Central, Ohio Valley

Joe Flores is a regional vice president at Tortoise, covering the North Central territory. He began his career in asset management in 1999 with Kemper Funds and has spent the majority of his career in business development and relationship management roles.

Previously, Joe worked for Claymore Securities, a predecessor firm to Guggenheim Investments, and Highland Capital Management. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has passed the Series 6, 7, 63 and 65 exams and holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation. Philanthropically, Joe is a director and co-founder of a not-for-profit called Becky’s Warriors; Becky’s Warriors helps families that are affiliated with Marian Catholic High School to continue their fight against cancer. He also has been active in the Illinois chapter of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and served on the board of directors in 2013 and 2014.

At home in the western suburbs of Chicago, Joe is married and has two daughters. He is an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears and Fighting Illini athletics. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing guitar, reading, trying out new restaurants and traveling.
